Recent developments and trends in miniaturized gas preconcentrators for portable gas chromatography systems: A review

چکیده

In the last years, a growing number of fields such as air quality monitoring, breath analysis or explosives and chemical warfare agents detection requiring fast, on-site, sensitive has led to development portable gas chromatography systems. most cases, these systems integrate miniaturized preconcentrator, which provides significant enhancement sensitivity enabling quantification analytes present in sample at trace levels. this review, authors have focused on recent developments preconcentrators integrated The main materials fabrication techniques, designs, heating technologies, fluidic connections, adsorbents, applications are discussed. addition, an some factors affecting preconcentration performance is presented. A new figure merit called Normalized Preconcentration Efficacy (NPE) proposed evaluate devices standardized manner, making possible more straightforward comparison between different devices.
